Aerial bombing in Kilinochchi on Friday nightSri Lanka Air Force carried out extensive bombing near Kilinochchi last night, 16 May, using para-light bombs in the sky. The sorties started at 6.00pm and continued intermittently until 8.00pm. The people were profoundly disturbed by this long hours of bombers flying overhead, para-light in the sky and dropping of bombs.
Aerial bombing in Vadamaradchi east civilian areas on Friday morning Sri Lankan Air Force aerial bombers carried out several sorties over the civilian settlements in the Vadamaradchi east area from 7.00am on Friday morning. More than 16 bombs were dropped. Kaddaikadu Roman Catholic MV school, Vadamardchi east Multi Purpose Cooperative Society building, and some civilian homes were damaged in the bombing. Bombs fell and exploded just 300 meters from the school and shrapnel fell on the school buildings causing damage.
