An Advance Level student was arrested by the SLA at ChemmaniAn Advance Level student of Jaffna St. John’s College was arrested by the SLA at Chemmani, Jaffna on 21st November 2007. S. Niresh was arrested when he was returning in a bus from a private tuition in Jaffna to Thenmarachi.Many students have been arrested and then went missing in the Jaffna peninsula during the last two years. Some of them were found as dead bodies with gun shot injuries. Some of them were released after severe torture.
