
LTTE deleberations in Glencree, Ireland.
Mr. S.P. Tamilselvan, Head of the LTTE Political Wing and Col. Karuna Special Commander Batticaloa and Amparai arrivd Glencree, Ireland along with the team engaged in finalising the Interim Administration proposals Sunday 5th October from Dublin where the experts in Economic Affairs from the Tamil diaspora had 3 sessions commencing 3rd October.
In Glencree, Ireland the deliberations are held in the Centre for Reconciliation. Mr. Ian White, the Head of the Centre addressed the inaugural session welcoming the team and assured their whole-hearted support for the endeavour the LTTE is engaged in to bring about a lasting solution to their national problem and attain peace thereby. The LTTE team that earlier met in Paris during later August to formulate the proposals for an Interim Administration in the NorthEast, is now engaged in the process of reviewing the draft in the light of new suggestions from the leadership in the Vanni. This series of meetings will go on till Friday 10th October in Glencree. The Glencree Centre for Reconciliation has a long history from1858 commencing as the Saint Kevin's Reformatory School addressing poverty and deprivation at a time when Ireland was just recovering from the famine years. The transformation of this complex as a Centre for Reconciliation was in 1972. This Centre has a wide range of activities and projects to promote peace.
