
Vaddakachchi bombed, civilians injured, livestock killed, houses destroyed
At 6.20am today, Wednesday 17 September, Sri Lanka Air Force bombed Vaddakachchi, a suburb of Kilinochchi, injuring civilians, killing livestock and destroying houses and shops.
 Three civilians were injured and were taken in ambulance to the Kilinochchi hospital. Four milking cows were killed. The displaced Ponnahari-Gnanimadam MPCS (Multi Purpose Cooperative Society) shop was among the buildings destroyed by the bombing. 
Three more private homes were badly damaged and another 10 houses sustained lesser damages. In one of the badly damaged private home displaced farmers had stocked their harvest unable to sell them in the current situation of large scale and continuous displacement.
