Three day Maveerar commemoration starts in the Tamil homelandThe three day Maveerar commemoration of 2007 was inaugurated today at 8.30am throughout the Tamil homeland.Senior LTTE members hoisted the Tamil Eelam nation flag at 8.30am in the Maveerar Cemeteries in the Tamil homeland.
The Head of LTTE Political Wing, B Nadeson, hoisted the flag in a memorial erected in front of the LTTE Political Head Quarters in Kilinochchi. Among those paying their homage were the wife and children of former LTTE Political Head, Brig. S P Tamilselvan, who was assassinated by aerial bombardment on his office/residence, on 2 November, with six other LTTE members.
