
LTTE returns youngsters to the transit center
Eleven youngsters who enrolled themselves submitting false particulars especially of their age to join the LTTE cadres have been detected to be under aged following routine action taken by P. Kanthamman, Head of the Special Committee appointed by the LTTE Peace Secretariat.
Today 12th of March,these youngsters have been handed over to the Transit Centre organized and managed by the Tamil Rehabilitation Organnisation in cooperation with the UICEF for a three-month period of observation and to rehabilitate. The rehabilitation would proceed either by way of educating to return them to their parents or by facilitating them to learn a trade to develop their skills to earn their living. In the case of the youngsters reluctant to rejoin their parents, care would be extended until such time they are of age or deemed matured enough to be independent.
