
Air Tiger attack on Colombo’s Air Force bombers
Two attack air-crafts belonging of the Air Tigers of the LTTE carried out bombing raids on the Sri Lanka Air Force airbase at Katunayake at 12:45 a.m. early morning Monday and returned safely to Vanni.
LTTE military spokesperson said that the attack is not only pre-emptive but also to safeguard people in Tamil Eelam from indiscriminate bombing by the Sri Lankan Air Force. He warned that there will be further Air Tiger attacks in the near future. In the mean time at 12.00 noon on Monday four Sri Lankan MiG planes bombed civilian areas in Vellankulam in Mannar.
