Military intelligence men roaming around with swords in civilian habitats
Civilians in Thenmaradchy, south of Jaffna are highly perturbed over SL military men, said to be from the intelligence division, roaming round the villages in an appaently nocturnal patrolling openly exhibiting the swords they carry.
This practice has created a sense of panic among the civilians who still remember the SLA slaughtering civilians including children and dumping them into toilet pits in Mirusuvil, a hamlet still under occupation, where the military is adamantly refusing to vacate civilian dwellings for the displaced owners to resettle. This type of menacing nocturnal patrolling, it appears, is consequent to the sword cutting incident that took place in Nunavil, another small village in Thenmaradchy. Civilians are contemplating interaction with the SLMM to stop this terrorising practice of the SLA intelligence men.
