
The bus-depot attack on 2 January
Four employees of the Tamileelam transport services were killed on 2 January when its bus-depot in Mullaithivu town was bombed. The attack was aimed at destroying the buses used for civilian transport inside Vanni. Five buses, each costing US $ 50,000, were destroyed in the attack.

Also destroyed was MPCS fuel station nearby. The devastation these two destructions will bring on the suffering people of Vanni is not difficult to imagine.
