
One killed and three injured in Sri Lanka bombing in Kilinochchi - Friday
Sri Lanka Air Force bombers bombed a civilian settlement south west of Kilinochchi town at 7.15 am today, Friday, morning, killing one civilian, Alakan Marinuththu aged 70, and injuring another three.
In the aerial raid eight bombs were dropped on a small civilian settlement. More deaths were avoided as people took cover in their backyard trenches. The injured civilians Suppaiyah Paramasivam (male) aged 60, Selvanayakam Anita (female) aged 20 and Muthukumaran (male) aged 75 were admitted in Kilinochchi general hospital. Attendance at the Kilinochchi schools is very poor today as children kept away from school fearing further bombing.
