Unexploded artillery shells found in crown land beside A-9 Road in Paranthan
Along A-9 highway in Paranthan in the Kilinochchi District two unexploded artillery shells were found lying, one 120mm partly in depth covered by earth and the other one, a 60 mm remaining unexploded. Last Monday some volunteers engaged in Shramadana clearing the long stretch of crown land lying covered with overgrown shrubs and bushes beside the highway, came across these two shells and immediately brought it to the notice of the Demining Unit in Kilinochchi.
