Black Tiger's Day is celebrated in a grand style all over Tamil Eelam
The Black Tiger day was celebrated in a grand style all over Tamileelam. The leader of the LTTE joined the celebrations at a specially arranged location and opened the function by lighting the lamp and placing a garland on the picture of Captain Miller, who is the very first Black Tiger. Following this, Black Tiger cadres placed garlands on the other 261 Land Black Tigers and Sea Black Tigers. After this, two audio CDs and a full-length movie on Black Tigers were released to the public. S.Pottu, head of the intelligence section, and Kernel Susai, head of Sea Tigers, handed the first copy of the two audio CDs, "Uyirayutham 5" and "Sea Black Tigers Part 8", to the LTTE leader respectively. Senior LTTE member Athavan handed the first copy of the full-length video movie "Puyal Puhuntha Pookkal" to the leader.
 After this the LTTE leader honoured poet Navannan, music composers Kannan, and Satch-Master for their service to the arts by presenting them with medals.  Other notable events in Tamileelam celebrating the Black Tiger day included sporting competitions that began a few days prior to July 5th, processions of the 262 Black Tiger pictures and honouring of the parents of Black Tigers. Several cultural programmes also took place all over Tamileelam.
