
SLA shelling hits IDP settlement in Uttupulam in Kilinochchi
Sri Lanka military fired artillery shells exploded inside the recently displaced IDP settlement in Uttupulam in Kilinochchi.
Following the death of five civilians in Puthumurippu nearby on Saturday, the IDPs had dug bunkers and many spend long hours in the bunkers following the shelling. In the meantime a home in Selvipuram, south of the Kilaly military base at the Jaffna FDL, was destroyed by SLA shelling. Ten artillery shells exploded inside Alankerni, Nallur and Selvipuram settlements in this area.
