
Civilians killed and injured in Batticaloa and Jaffna
Grenade attack injured students in JaffnaA grenade attack on students and teachers leaving a private tuition centre following classes injures six. A grenade was thrown at 4.15pm by the Sri Lankan military stationed at the military checkpoint situated at the crossing of the Navalar Road and the old railway track. The grenade was targeting the students and teachers who were leaving a private tuition centre located nearby.
Five students and one teacher were injured in the attack. Two civilians killed following claymore attack Following a claymore attack at 5.00pm targeting a police vehicle, civilians nearby were fired at by the police killing two. Several more civilians were in the police fire injured.
