The Iyankulam carnage - 27 November claymore by Sri LankaOn 27 November, the final of the three day Heroes Day commemoration, Sri Lanka launched its typical campaign of carnage. In the morning its Deep Penetration Unit launched a claymore attack on a vehicle carrying a first aid team consisting of six school children, two young volunteer first-aid trainers, and the driver, killing everyone in the vehicle. Four of the students are from of Iyankulam Government Tamil Mixed school (ITMS) and one student is from Mullaithivu/Yohapuram Mahavidhyalayam (MYMV). Their details are provided below.
