Upcountry People's Front and Western Province People's Front meet LTTE
Mr. P. Chandrasekaran, Leader of the Upcountry People's Front (UPF) and Mr. Mano Ganesan, Leader of the Western Province People's Front (WPPF) individually met Mr. Tamilselvan, Head of the LTTE Political Wing today the 18th February 2004.
 Former parliamentarian and leader of the UPF Mr. P. Chandrasekaran met Mr. S. P. Tamilselvan at 10.30 am at the Peace Secretariat in Kilinochchi and later Mr. Mano Ganesan met the Head of the Political Wing at the same venue.  Mr. Tamilselvan requested both the leaders to extend their support for the Tamil People islandwide to rally on one and the same policy and under one banner. Both the leaders agreed with Mr. Tamilselvan that the entire Tamil people in the island should stand together and face the forthcoming parliamentary election on one policy and maximise the number of minority seats and thereby, through a stronger representation, the national aspiration of the Tamil people could be unambiguously expressed and democratically demonstrated for the attention of the international community as well.
