
Tamil National Alliance MPs meet Mr. Tamilselvan
MPs from the Tamil National Alliance met with Mr. S.P. Tamilselvan at the Peace Secretariat in Killinochchi earlier today. The current impasse in the peace process was discussed at length during the meeting.
Mr.R. Sambanthan, Mr. Joseph Pararajasingham, Mr. Mavai Senathirajah, Mr. S. Premachandran, Mr. Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam, Mr. Sivajilingam, Mr. Raviraj, Mr. Chandranehru, Mr. Thangavadivel and Mr. Krishnapillai were the TNA members present at the meeting. LTTE was represented by Mr. S.P. Tamilselvan, head of the political wing, Mr. S. Thangan, his deputy, and the regional heads of the political wing. 
Mr. R. Sambanthan commenting after the meeting emphasized that the LTTE was firmly committed to the peace process. The TNA members understood that re-development of the North and East and ensuring that the people of the North and East return to a life of normalcy are of paramount importance if the peace process is to succeed. LTTE is determined to ensure that an instrument with appropriate powers is established to achieve this objective. Resettlement of refugees in the high security zones was also discussed at the meeting. The meeting concluded with the TNA members reaffirming their commitment to facilitate the achievement of the above objectives.
