
Civilian toll for June 2008
Fifty civilians were killed and 39 civilians were disappeared in the Tamil homeland by Sri Lankan Government operated forces.
 Among the killings were, two claymore attacks in Mullaithivu, one on a vehicle carrying pilgrims that killed six people including two children, and the other on the motorbike ridden by a very much loved Assistant Government Agent killing him instantly. The bombing of the Puthukkudiyiruppu town center also killed four civilians and caused extensive damages to buildings.
