The new Head of Political Wing meets the Head of SLMMThe newly appointed Head of the Political Wing, B Nadeson, met the Head of the SLMM, Lars Solveberg, today, 8 November, at 9.00am in Kilinochchi.Nadeson described to Solveberg the feelings of deep shock and sorrow of the Tamil people and the LTTE about the assassination of S P Tamilselvan, the previous Head of Political Wing.
Nadeson also explained to the Head of the SLMM that the location where Tamilselvan was killed in an aerial bombardment was not a military place but was a place where meetings are held with representatives of the people regarding ceasefire and peace talks. He requested Solveberg to covey to the Norwegian Government the condemnation of the LTTE and also to ask the Norwegian Government to work with the international community to take actions against the Government of Sri Lanka for this serious crime. In addition to Mr. B Nadeson, Mr. S Puleedevan, Mr. R Ilanthirayan and Mr. V Bavanandan took part in the meeting from the LTTE side. 08 November 2007
