
More aerial bombing over Vanni kills one, injures ten
The ongoing aerial bombardment over Vanni continued into Saturday killing one civilian and injuring ten including a child. The death and some of the injuries occurred in Vaddakachchi in Kilinochchi in the Hudson Road area which in December has seen large number of deaths and injuries including the deaths of two five months old babies and a six year old girl returning from school.
On Saturday, one twenty year old man, Pasupathy Gnanachandran was killed and two civilians including an eight year old boy Sivaraja Sanjeevan were injured. At the same time shelling over this area injured two more civilians including a female teacher Muhunthan Pushpakumari aged 34. On the same day, aerial bombing in Maththalan in Mullaithivu near the shores injured three fishermen.
