
Sri Lankan Air Force Kfir attack kills two, damages charity building in Puthukkudiyiruppu
Sri Lankan Air Force MIG planes bombed civilian areas in Puthukkudiyiruppu in Mullaitivu district around noon today.
Two civilians were killed and four were injured. A number of houses and the building of White Pigeon, a local NGO assisting landmine victims with prosthetic limbs, were damaged in the attack. The White Pigeon NGO has several branches in the Northeast and the one in Puthukkudiyiruppu is one of the oldest. Several foreign experts in prosthetics have visited White Pigeon and assisted in training local staff in making and fitting prosthetics. It is this building that was damaged in the aerial attack today. 
One of the two civilians killed in the attack is P Pratheepan, father of a child. The injured civilians are Luksmanan Gunaratnam, aged 32, father of two children, Kanthaiah Anantharasa, aged 45, father of two, Sittampalam Tharmasenan aged 29, father of a child and Amirthalingam Arijan aged 27.
