Land and aerial attack by Sri Lankan military on civilian settlementsSince 9.45am today, Sri Lankan military is conducting land and aerial attacks on civilian settlements along the northern borders.From 9.45am till 10.15am, two Sri Lankan Air Force Kfirs, and two MiGs carried out aerial attacks on Kilali, Nagarkovil and Palai settlements along the Forward Defense Lines (FDL). Following the aerial attacks the same settlements are being subjected to Multi Barrel and artillery attacks. These attacks are continuing. The people in these settlements have displaced to Kilinochchi and Mullaithivu after 11 August 2006 when GoSL closed the A9 route through these FDLs.
