Persistent shelling into Poonahari areas disturb civilian life
Persistent artillery fire into areas near Poonahari has already killed two civilians during the month of April. The shelling continues to affect civilian life in the area. It has become dangerous to travel on the road between Poonahari and Mannar. Twenty four shells fell and exploded in the civilian areas frightening away farm workers, causing urgent farm work to be neglected.
