
Navy attacks fishermen at sea
Sri Lanka Navy attacked two fishermen who have gone to the sea at Chundikulam for fishing. The Navy has also damaged the equipment belonging to the fishermen.
The attack took place on Monday morning. The two fishermen were severely attacked and their outboard motor was removed and thrown into the sea. As a result the fishermen were unable to go ashore in time. A team of fishermen who came looking for them helped the two fishermen to come ashore. Sources said that the two fishermen attacked by the Navy are from the Vaththirayan temporary camp.
