A meeting scheduled to be held coming 24th at Mirusuvil Roman Catholic Tamil Mixed School regarding the resettlement in the High Security Zone (HSZ). Over 2000 families, displaced from Mirusuvil due to the HSZ and suffering continuously, are to take part in the meeting which is planning to resist occupation of the civilian houses. They are planning to conduct hunger-strikes and demonstrations in front of the houses which are occupied by the armed forces. Besides this, official of the Agriculture Department regret that there is a major decline in the paddy production since 1995 in the Jaffna peninsula. People are unable to cultivate in their own land because of the HSZs and land mines planted in huge amounts out-side the HSZs.
