Disaster assessment and relief operation Data Centre for Batticaloa-Amparai
A disaster assessment and relief operation Data Centre for Batticaloa-Amparai districts was established yesterday 31 December 2004 by the LTTE political division in Kadukkamunai, Kokkaddicholai.
 This centre collates data collected from the various welfare centres with the help of volunteers attached to the Task Force units. Number of displaced from each AGA division categorised on the basis of those staying with the relatives, those in welfare centres, number reported dead, missing, property damage etc are some of the details that would be collated and made available for anybody seeking information. Relevant Government officials are advised to communicate with this centre on Telephone 065-2226592 and furnish available data and obtain any information necessary. It is felt that this centre would essentially focus attention on the collection of accurate information that would be very much useful in future rehabilitation and reconstruction planning. Individuals and organisations volunteering to help the needy, can contact this centre and obtain information relating to the channelling of assistance.
