“LTTE’s concern for the Tamil people is demonstrated by its flexibility”-Prof.Johan GaltungIn an academic exercise, the LTTE Political Team led by Mr.S.P.Tamilselvan met with Prof.Johan Galtung in Stadtschlaining, Austria in the Institute for Integrative Conflict Transformation and Peace-building (IICP) Sunday 27 March 2005.
Mr.Tamilselvan presented an overview of the current status of the Cease Fire Agreement, Peace Process and the post-tsunami management in the NorthEast. The Professor expressed keen interest in the joint mechanism proposals drafted by Norway and was explained in detail the various steps taken by LTTE in good faith to address the humanitarian crisis and build on it to take forward the stalled peace process. Associated with the Professor were Ms.Gudrun Kramer, Director, Institute for integrative Conflict Transformation and Peace-building (IICP) and Dr.Wilfried Graf, Senior Reseacher and Advisor for Conflict Transformation. 28 March 2005
