
Five more Tamils missing
Trincomalee: Nallathamby Gnaneswaran (46), Ampalavanapillai Sathisivam (45) and Paththakutty Thiraviyaraja (40), all farmers of Bharathipuram in Killiveddy (located in the GoSL controlled Senurawa police division), disappeared on Monday, 26 June after they went to Aathiamankerni to search for their cattle.
Families of these men were already displaced from their own village two months ago. The men went looking for their cattle that they lost during the displacement. Antony Joseph (51), owner of a brick making business, has been missing since Sunday, 25 June. He went into a nearby forest of the GoSL controlled Periyakulam to get firewood and did not return. Jaffna: Subramaniam Suresh (17) of Alvai, Point Pedro, a local government employee, has been missing since 21 June when he left his office at 2.00 pm. His family lodged complaints with authorities.
