Three SLA abductions in one village in one night
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, three people of three different homes in Ilavalai were abducted in the same manner. Abductors had black balaclava covering their faces and were armed with guns. The abductors who entered the homes were able to speak Tamil, but there were several Sri Lankan Army (SLA) soldiers outside house who spoke in Sinhala. The abductors and SLA soldiers drove away with the victims in several vehicles, one of which was a white van. The families of the three abducted complained to SLMM and Ilavalai police. The families also went to all of the nearby military camps to report the abductions. Military officials at the camps told the families that there were no arrests of anyone by the names of the victims. Two of the three men abducted, Mariyaseelan and Rajeevmohan, were already reported in this website. Sebastianpillai Philipruban was the third person who had been abducted. Thenmarachchi displacement
The Sri Lankan Army (SLA) has ordered families of Varani in Thenmarachchi to vacate their homes. The SLA said that since there is a security risk for the SLA they are ordering them to leave the area. People have become very fearful and have been vacating the area in a hurry. This is a continuation of increasing displacement of people who are terrorized by the latest military atrocities.
