SLA activities in Northeast on 5 May 2006Two of the five headless bodies in upcountry identifiedOn 27 April 2006, five headless bodies were found in separate locations in Avissavalai in. Two of those bodies have been identified as civilians from Kilinochchi. They are, Kandaih Gunasingam from Pannikakam in Mankulam and Navaratnam Navaneethan from Kalvilan in THunukkai. Young men shot dead in Kanthalai in Trincomalee On 5 May around 4.00 pm Sivagnanam Theepan was shot and killed near Kanthalai Pillaiyar temple in Trincomalee. He had just stopped to repair his lorry when h was killed. Muslim businessman shot dead in Batticaloa A Muslim businessman who had just withdrawn money from the bank was shot and killed in front of Valachenai Alanoor School on 5 May. The killers took the money from the businessman before escaping. The dead man is Lemin Kathar (40) from Eravur. Two youth disappeared in Jaffna Sasikumar (23) and Krishnakumar (23) both from Point Pedro in Jaffna are reported missing on 5 May 2006 after going to Jaffna town to purchase material for their carpentry workshop. 07 May 2006
