Three SLA claymore attack in LTTE area on the early morning of 10 JuneFour LTTE members and one civilian deadSLA carried out three claymore attacks in the LTTE area in the north on the morning of 10 June. The attack in Vellankulam in Mannar killed a senior LTTE commander, Lt Col Mahendi, and three more LTTE members. Another attack in Puthur in Vavuniya targeted a farmer returning from his field. Navaratna. Srinagathasan (32) died of the injuries in hospital. The third attack in Nedunkerni in Vavuniya hit a NEIAP vehicle. NEIAP is a World Bank funded project aimed at rehabilitation of the agricultural industry in Northeast. In addition SLA carried out two more claymore attacks during the previous night. One was in Oddusuddan in Mullaitivu and the other was in Pallamadu in Mannar. No one was injured in these two attacks. 10 June 2006
