
15 LTTE members killed over four-day GoSL air strikes in NorthEast
During the Sri Lankan air forces’ aerial bombing campaign in the NorthEast that has continued for four days, a total of 15 LTTE members have been killed. The air strikes began on 26 July in Mavilaru, Trincomalee.
Seven LTTE members were killed in air strikes in Kathiraveli, Trincomalee on Thursday, 27 July around 3.30 pm. Eight were injured, which included three civilians and five LTTE members. The SLA aerial bombardments disrupted plans that were underway to solve the water crisis of villages in Mutur East. Eight LTTE members were killed in the fourth day of air strikes in Karadiyanaru, Batticaloa on Saturday, 29 July between 11.30 am and 12.00 pm.
