
Two teenagers abducted in Batticaloa by paramilitaries
Two students of Valaichenai Hindu College in Batticaloa were abducted in a white van on Monday in an area that was heavily patrolled by SLA.
Three students were going on their bicycles along Kalkuda road at 5.30 pm when they were dragged into a while van. One of the three boys fought back and escaped. A grenade was thrown at the escaping boy but managed to evade it. The two abducted boys are, Jeyaraj Krishan (15) and Suthaharan Kulojen (15). The escaped boy informed the parents of the abducted boys that he saw the white van with the two boys speeding towards the Valaichenail Fishing Harbour SLA camp. The incident took place during a time when there was heavy SLA patrolling on the street. A complaint has been lodged with SLMM.
