
Activities of GoSL operated forces 9 June – 11 June
Seven killedTrincomalee: On 10 June, GoSL operated paramilitary group stopped and entered a passenger bus in the GoSL-controlled area of Puliyadichchanthi. The gunmen shot dead a child, Vimalanathan Sajeevan (12) and Krishnapillai Ravichandran (43). Nadarajah Paranthaman was seriously wounded in the shooting and admitted to Muttur hospital. The bus was stopped in an area heavily secured by Sri Lankan armed forces camps and checkpoints. The gunmen escaped on a motorbike.
On 10 June, Kathirgamathmby Mathivanan (42) and Mohamed Remis (20) were shot dead by SLAFs soldiers as they were transporting firewood by bullock carts in Kinniya. Pichaithamby Kassim (22) was injured in the attack. Colombo: On 10 June, Ramachandran (67), a businessman, was shot dead while traveling in a car near Vihara Lane in Wellawate around 7.00 pm. Ramachandran was shot five times. Vavuniya: On 11 June two civilians were killed in a SLAFs claymore attack as they were traveling by motorbike in the LTTE area of Palaipani around 10.00 am. Injury Jaffna: On 11 June, nine civilians, including a 13-year-old child were injured in a grenade explosion in Thirunelveli around 10.15 am. The explosion took place at the Thirunelveli market, heavily guarded by SLAFs soldiers. The names of the injured are: A Prasanth (13) of Thirunelvely

Dead body found, another disappeared Jaffna: On 9 June, the dead body of Rasiah Muraleeswaran (42), was found at a construction site in Polikandy in Vadamarachchi where he worked as a mason for FORUT, a Norwegian aid organization. The area is within a SLAFs High Security Zone (HSZ), guarded by SLAFs soldiers at all times. Muraleeswaran’s co-worker Rajan (26) was also working as a FORUT mason for the same housing scheme and has been missing since Thursday, 8 June.
