Killings continue in the NorthEastMan killed in Chulipuram, JaffnaThe lease owner of Kalliavembadi, Raththaladi market, in Chulipuram, Thavasi Thavachandran (35) was shot by gunmen on 20 April at 9.00 am at the market. Gunman escaped on a motorbike with another person. Gunman asked the people at the market to move out and then pretended to buy fish from Thavasi. He then opened fire and escaped. Two bodies of civilians found in Vavuniya Bodies of two young men with gunshots wounds and cut wounds were found in Irampaikulam in Vavuniya on 20 April. The bodies had their hands tied behind and their mouth taped closed. Name of the group on a piece of paper near the bodies referred to a paramilitary group that works with SLA. Man shot dead in Karainagar, Jaffna A father was shot and killed on 20 April at 10.00 pm in Karainagar in Jaffna as he came out of his house by gunmen who wee hiding in the bushes.
