Trincomalee violenceViolence and displacement in Trincomalee has not abated with more deaths, injuries, disappearance, and displacement.Three Tamil civilians were shot dead by SLA. One young was shot and killed by Sri Lankan Air Force during a cordon and search operation in the village of Kappalthurai in China-bay on 23 April. Two more bodies of young men with gunshots was found near the Railway crossing in Kanthalai-Peratruveli on 23 April. In all three cases the armed forces said that the victims were trying to attack the Sri Lankan armed forces and they shot them dead.
