Civilian deaths, disappearance and abductions in Northeast 19-21 AugustSix people in Jaffna killed in 24 hours during 19 to 20 August. Two of the six civilians are from Nelliady, one is from Anaikoddai (Nageswaran Prasanthan (24)), one is from Nallur (Suriyapalan Mayuran), and two are from Jaffna town (Balasubramanium Raji (25) and another civilian).
Four students were abducted in white van in Uvarmalai, Trincomalee. Another youngman, Pushparasa Chandrakrishna (18) was killed in Batticaloa after abduction. In two motorbike abductions in Vavuniya, a businessman from Kurumankadu and a son of another businessman from Irambaikulam, were abducted.
