The intruder who was now in the hands of the residents of the house tried to bite the hands of the people but neighbours arrived for assistance. Under light, people were able to identify the intruder as one of the soldiers from Division 513 of the Sri Lankan military at the Chunnakam camp. The soldier was handed over to the Chunnakam camp military chief who asked the people not make the incident into a big issue.
