SLA’s hidden hands, Sihhala thugs and paramilitary, kill Tamils
Trincomalee violence erupts again on 21 AprilSinhala thugs entered theTamil village of Mengamam in Seruwela in Trincomalee and attacked civilians, and looted and burnt houses, shops and vehicles belonging to Tamils. Chandrasekaran (35) was killed and five more civilians were injured.
Among the property burnt by the Sinhala thugs are: 14 homes, 8 shops, 6 farm tractors, and 3 motorbikes. In a similar communal attack by Sinhala thugs in Mahindapura, an adjacent village, five more Tamil civilians were injured. People of the area also said that seven Tamils were abducted by home guards and their fate is still unknown. Civilian killed by SLA claymore Kandasamy, manager of Palmarah and coconut development cooperative, was killed on 21 April in Puthur jungles in LTTE area by a claymore mine placed by SLA deep penetration unit that crossed over into LTTE area. Kandasamy is the father of 6 children. Paramilitary shoot and kill civilian at his home in Vavuniya Paramilitary group members that broke open the home of a family man in Vavuniya shot him dead and another man in the house. The injured man has been admitted to the hospital.
