SLA attacks three LTTE posts is the eastSLA attacked three LTTE positions including Vakarai in Batticaloa and Sampoor-Norway-Point in Trincomalee. One LTTE member was injured in the attack.At 8.30 am on Saturday 1 April, between Panichchamkerni and Maruthankerni in Vakarai in Batticaloa, an LTTE controlled area, SLA and paramilitary were in hiding to attack LTTE members who will be passing the spot. When the LTTE mebers passed the spot they carried out the attack and escaped to SLA controlled area. About the same time, SLA carried out an attack in Thonithalntha, an LTTE area, with RPG guns and escaped to SLA area. Several homes were damaged. Some animals belonging to the people were killed in the attack. At 1.45 pm on the same day, SLN carried out an attack from Norway Point in Sampoor at the fishermen at the shores of Sampoor in LTTE area. Many fishermen barely escaped being killed. LTTE Political Head for Trincomalee, Elilan, has lodged complaints with SLMM that these are serious violations of CFA. 02 April 2006
