
Shooting and killings of Tamil civilians continues
A three wheeler driver was shot dead in front of the Jaffna Hindu primary school around 7.30pm yesterday 11th January. The victim was identified as Mr. Pasupathy Palani from Kalasalai road, Thirunelvely. The gunshot wounds were found in his chest, forehead and eyes.
Samurthi officer of the Thenmaradchi Divisional Secretariat Ms. Kanapathippillai Pavalarany was found shot dead near Madduvil Panriththalaichchi Amman temple. She was taken by gunmen from her house in Thoppu, Madduvil north. In another incident in Putur, a civilian was shot and killed. Thampu Nadesu (50), a father of three children was taken for investigation by gunmen wearing SLA uniform around 11.45 pm, 10 January. Mr. Thampu Nadesu was tailor shop owner in Putur junction. He was found dead in the bush in Siruppiddy Madaththady area, severely beaten and with gunshot wounds.
