Three fishermen missing in Northern Jaffna Seas
Three fishermen who went to fish in the northern seas of Jaffna on 11 April have not returned. Huge efforts to search for the missing fishermen in 16 boats, since 12 April, have produced no result.
Jaffna fishermen are avoiding deep sea fishing following the incident. Fishermen suspect that the three fishermen must have been taken by the Sri Lankan Navy. The names of the missing fishermen are, Santhiapillai Alfred Sutharson (25), Thiagaraja Niruban (19), and Mariampillai Yesuthas (18).
