LTTE releases Sri Lankan PoliceUpon the request of the Norwegian special envoy Erik Solheim, Tamil National Leader, V Prabaharan, ordered the release of one of the three policemen, today, 26th January 2006. The three policemen were arrested at Arippu in Mannar for trespassing into the LTTE administered area.
The Sri Lankan policeman, Kariapperuma Aththu Koralake Donsarath(40) was handed over to the SLMM Liaison Officer in Kilinochchi by Mr. S Thangan, Deputy Head of the Political Wing, at the Peace Secretariat.
