Sri Lankan military conducted search operations and photographed civiliansSri Lankan military conducted a search operation in Patpannai and Sinnakolani areas in Thirunelvely yesterday. Civilians were made to stand in front of the masked men and photographed.Sri Lankan military was deployed in the area from 3.00 am and all civilians were brought to the playground around 6.15 am. Then the civilians were made to stand in front of the masked men and all of them were photographed. Then they were allowed to go. Killings and disappearances P. Jeyapirakas aged 23 was shot and killed by men masked in black in Thetkiluppaikulam, Vavuniya two days ago. These masked men entered the house and shot Jeyapirakas. A civilian went missing from 15th November. Manikkam Selvarasa aged 27 from Kondavil north went missing when he went outs. A complaint was lodged by the relatives at the Jaffna branch of the Sri Lankan Human Rights Commission.
