Four bearded men entered the bus. One of them appeared only 15 years old. The four men demanded that all the passengers buy a copy of the newspaper “Thinamurasu”, a publication of the EPDP political party which is a coalition partner with the GoSL.

The cost demanded by the four men was Rs20.00. Those who said they do not have the money to buy the paper were told that they must get off the bus for inquiry.
