Activities of GoSL operated forces - 10 JulyBatticaloa: Seenithamby Sellan (32), a small business owner, was abducted by GoSL operated forces when he was traveling by bus near the Mankerny Sri Lankan Army camp on Sunday, 9 July around 3.30 pm. Sellan lives in Vakarai and has three children.Colombo: Thirumahal Chithrasenan (35) a Tamil woman from Vaddukoddai, Jaffna, who has been detained in the Welikada prison for ten years, is suffering from an illness after being subjected to severe torture and abuse in prison. TNA parliamentarian for Jaffna, S Kajendran recently requested urgent attention to this matter in a letter to the Sri Lankan president. In the letter Kajendran revealed that Thirumahal is subjected to torture by prison guards who beat her, caused internal bleeding in her brain and is now experiencing excruciating pain. Jaffna: Fishermen of Polikandy were surrounded by Sri Lankan Navy men patrolling the Northern sea on Monday, 10 July and lost their fishing nets after the Navy cut them. Fishermen stated that all of nets damaged were worth Rs. 1,000,000. 11 July 2006
