Fishing lines destroyed by SLN in Chakkoddai in VadamaradchchiFishing lines belonging to one fisherman that were cast in the sea were all destroyed by SLN. Yesterday SLN chief for Valigamam has assured the fishermen that there will be no further harassment of the fishermen at sea. The above destruction of fishing lines belonging to a fisherman took place within a few hours of this assurance.The affected fisherman Robert Kennedy has lost 950 fishing lines that he had cast in the SLN attack at 11.00 am yesterday. Last month the same fisherman had lost 1500 fishing lines as a result of an attack by the SLN. 08 March 2006
