Continuous deployment of armed forces disturbs normalcy
Continuous deployment of armed forces in the Jaffna peninsula disturbs the normal life of the people. SLA has been fortifying their camps all over the peninsula. They have cut off the remaining palm trees from private lands in Kaithady, Navatkuly in Thenmaradchi.
People, traveling through Muhamalai checkpoint are subjected to severe checking and harassments by personals from Sri Lankan military intelligence unit. Travelers are checked, questioned about people whose photos they already have. The interrogation is especially hard about the youths from Vadamaradchi and Thenmaradchi.
