Activities of GoSL operated forces – 6 July to 7 JulyTrincomalee: killed: Mohammed Wahid Ali (41) was shot and killed by GoSL operated forces in Palaiyootu on Friday, 7 July around 7.30 am. Ali was taking his son to school when the gunmen on a motorbike shot him. He died immediately.Batticaloa: abductions: GoSL operated forces abducted 35 more youth from Thivuchenai, Karuppalai, Sorivil and Sevanapitty on Thursday, 6 July. This number is in addition to the 125 youth abducted by GoSL operated forces last month. Some family members of the abducted have made complaints and but many others are too afraid due to fear of retribution by GoSL operated forces. 08 July 2006
