Killings in Batticaloa and JaffnaBatticaloa: Kandasamy Govindarajah (25) was shot and killed by GoSL operated forces after being taken by SLA soldiers in a cordon and search operation on Monday, 7 August around 3.00 pm. He was later shot dead at the 18th mile post in Kalodavi.Batticaloa: Seenithamby Sankar (20) was shot and killed by GoSL operated forces in Vantharamoolai on Monday, 7 August. His brother-in-law Thandavam Selvarajah (36) was injured in the shooting. Batticaloa: Samithamby Mohanathas (17) was found dead on Thursday, 9 August after being abducted from his home by GoSL operated forces in Akkaraipattu the previous night. The body was found at Panankadu junction in Alayadivembu. Jaffna: Sinnarasa Vasanthan (31) was shot and killed by GoSL operated forces in Sandilipay on Wednesday, 9 August around 7.00 pm. Vasanthan was outside of his home when the gunmen on a motorbike shot him dead. Another civilian, Iyathurai Selvatheean (26) was injured in the shooting.
